About Us

We are immigration warriors who are dedicated to helping the immigrant community navigate this system that gets more convoluted each day. We dream together, and we worry about your case so you don’t have to.

We believe that everyone has the right to present their case before the U.S. government, and though some cases are tough, we figure there are only four possible outcomes: (1) the law might change and benefit your case; (2) the attorney will have a brilliant idea; (3) we will claim yet another miracle; or (4) we will fight the good fight and buy you as much time as possible, to allow you to get your life in order and prepare for your family’s future. None of these outcomes seem like losing to us.

Immigration law changes every day. We work hard to keep up with all the developments in the law, which often means changing case strategies on a semi-daily basis! We strive to give all of our clients personalized access. Some clients need additional hand-holding, and that’s okay! We are a team of immigrants, working for immigrants. We understand the fear and anxiety involved in the process, and we are here to help you through it. Our clients will always be able to speak directly with the attorney about their cases. We have a holistic approach to every case that we represent, and try to keep non-immigration needs in mind because we know that life does not happen in neat separate sections.

Meet the Attorney

Born in Brazil, Fernanda Bueno immigrated to the United States at 16-years-old. She faced every hardship expected as a foreigner and non-English speaker, and she worked tirelessly to help her community have an easier process than she did.

The fear involved in the immigration process is very real to her, and cases aren’t just files: they are people like her and her family members. She is not afraid to go the extra mile for her clients and is devoted to the cause. Her unofficial slogan is “Green Cards for all.”

Our attorney is a counselor, someone willing to tell you that just because a petition is possible, that does not make it a good idea. Or someone to give you the extra push when you need to make a decision and take control of your life. She is a regular speaker at informational events for the Latino and Brazilian communities.

Fernanda graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University with a Bachelor’s in History and Political Science, and a minor in Spanish. She graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, and obtained her Jurisprudence Doctorate. She is currently an active member of the California Bar Association, as well as the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Fernanda is a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese, and fluent
in Spanish.
