About Bueno Law

Hi, I am Fernanda Bueno, the founder of
Bueno Law Corp.

I’m an immigrant and a refugee from Brazil. When I was 12, I was arrested for being in the U.S. unlawfully. I was held in jail for days without food, handcuffed, and sent back to a country that wasn’t safe for me. That was one of the scariest moments of my life. At 16, I had to run away due to domestic violence, like my mother had done before me. Coming back to the U.S. and having a safe place saved my life, but it changed everything. It stole my identity, my sense of self, and my home. It took me years to feel like I belonged here. Today I dedicate my life to helping others find safety, freedom, and a soft place to land because that’s what I wish I had had. Fear has no place here. Bueno Law is my love child, the home away from home that I’ve created for you and I. Here, we get to change lives every day. I hope you’ll join us and trust us with your journey.

The Warriors

We are the Bueno Law Warriors, a team of badass immigrants and refugees who fight to help other refugees find safety and freedom in the United States. We are an office of immigrants, for immigrants.

Together, we are from Brazil, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, and Argentina. Some of us are virtual, and some of us are local to San Rafael, California.

We speak your language and most of us know exactly what it’s like to be a refugee running for your life.

We love this cause and we fight for our clients as if it were our own lives– because it was, once. We don’t call ourselves the Bueno Law Warriors for nothing! Some of my fellow warriors were clients before they joined us to fight for others; some saw the work that we do on social media and wanted to join the fight. Together, we are one amazing bunch of immigrants, getting the job done for you, every single day.
